ABOUT CHALLENGER BASEBALL

 

West Saint Paul Challenger Baseball, sponsored by American Legion Post 521, is open to all juniors and seniors that live or go to school in the West Saint Paul-Mendota Heights area.  Our summer program allows our athletes to continue their personal and baseball development in a competitive setting.  Challenger Baseball is a member of MN Legion Baseball Division I, District 3.

 

 

MISSION STATEMENT

 

Challenger Baseball is committed to providing a dynamic culture that allows our athletes to become better baseball players, citizens, and “men of character”.  We expect our athletes to be leaders on and off the field by promoting the values of pride, respect, team-first, and the pursuit of greatness.  While we strive to be champions on the field, our priority focuses on motivating our team to reach their full potential as athletes and people.

 

 

SEASON OVERVIEW

 

- Regular season begins early June (Playoffs begin late July...national tournament in late August)

- Our home fields are Two Rivers High School & Saint Thomas Academy.  Our road games are mostly within the Twin Cities metro area.

- Approximately 25-30 games (plus playoffs), including weekend tournaments in West Saint Paul, Bird Island, and Detroit Lakes (Hotel Information). Additional practice opportunities are available.

- Tryouts will take place in early May. Legion rules allow us to take a maximum of 18 athletes. (Tryout Information)

- Player Fee: $475.00 (Players receive jersey set, hat, and undershirt)
