Planning for the 2024 Football/Cheer Season is Underway! 

 

 

Early Bird Registration opens Friday, March 1st, 2024. 

  • Early Bird Registration Fee: $115
  • Registration Fee for 2nd Year Midgets: $50 flat fee
  • Regular Registration Fee: $140

Important Upcoming Dates/Information:

 

  • Last day to register and have your Childs Jersey customized with true size and top 6 numbers (3 single digits and 3 double digits)- May 5th
  • Fundraising information to be distributed in May. 
  • Fundraising and Concession duties are Mandatory!
  • Head Coaches will begin to reach out to provide introductions starting in June 
  • Last day for Early Bird registration special June 1st (DON'T WAIT THERE MAY NOT BE ANY SPOTS LEFT BY JUNE 1st)
  • Equipment Issue and Cheer Fittings - To be determined
  • We have added 4 NEW teams to our league this year so there will be 10 regular season games this season! (Lower Burrell, Penn Hills, Plum and East Allegheny) 
  • First Day of conditioning/Practice - July 22nd
  • Family drink donations will begin collected the week of July 29th scheduled and drink assignments to be determined
  • MANDATORY Weigh-ins Saturday August 10th at Franklin Regional (Report Time to be determined, but will be early)
  • Players new to the organization or moving up from flag must provide the players original birth certificate, a copy of the birth certificate and a copy of their report card proving residency in the Gateway school district. (Mandatory) 
  • The 3rd Annual Flag Gator Classic tournament Sunday August 11th at Home 8am Start Time
  • Kickoff Classic vs Aliquippa Sunday August 11th at Home Start time 3pm (Termites, Mites, Midgets)
  • Big East Season opener vs Penn Hills at home 
  • Week 1 of the regular season vs Jeannette at Home Sunday August 27th 
  • Flag Shootout Tentatively scheduled for Saturday  October 19th
  • 1st round of playoffs October 26th and 27th
  • 2nd round of playoffs November 2nd and 3rd
  • Championship either November 9th or 10th at Franklin Regional
  • All-star game November 16th or 17th at Franklin Regional
  • GMFCA Year end banquet Sunday November 24th at Stratigos 

 

 

Customized Football Jerseys:

 

This year we will order customized jerseys for our football players as we typically do however we are in need of families to register early to ensure there are no delays with production or shipping.

 

If registered by May 5th we can ensure your football player will have one of the 5 numbers they select  as well as their true size jersey as selected by the parent.

 

*Please note we will bulk order jerseys after May 5th for players that haven't registered as of yet in bigger sizes to ensure there are no issues with jerseys fitting players. With this being said, please note that your Child's selected number will not be guaranteed for the season if registered after May 5th. 

 

Cheerleading Accessories 

 

Registration includes our cheerleader's uniform and personalized practice t-shirt. However, cheerleader's are required to have the following cheer accesories: cheer shoes, warm-up suit, bow, rain coat, and mid-driff. Information and pricing of these items will be released in May. 

 

 

Waiting List:

 

Last year we unfortunately we had to place children on a waiting list or turn them away due to increased amount of participants registered and limited spots available. This year we have worked to expand the amount of availability at each level however we need your support by registering early. By registering early will ensure a secure spot for your child.
