Oxford Cadet's fall to Conestoga, knocking them out of play-offs
The Cadet's lost to Conestoga knocking them out of the play-offs, Oxford ended up in 4th Place overall. This was the 1st year for the 16 Yrs Cadet League (8 teams). All-in-All a pretty good start for the newly formed league.

    Cadet's move to 2nd round of Play-off's
After dropping the 1st game to Concord 3-1, Oxford came back to beat Concord 11-10 in a slug fest knocking Concord out of the play-off's, Nick Stahl through 7 innings to complete the game. Only 4 team remain and Oxford plays at Conestoga tonight

Cadet's make Playoffs - Begin Friday Night 7/11
July 7, 2008 Bob Keeler and the 16 yr old Team will play either Concord or Marple/Newtown on Friday night in the opening round of the playoffs.

Combined Seniors/16 Cadet tie Mt Carmel at Frawley Stadium
July 7, 2008 In a tight game that went 8 innings the combined team of Seniors and Cadet's tied the Mt Carmel Mounties on a beautiful Saturday night at Frawley Stadium.

Thanks to all who attended and showed support.

Seniors play solid vs West Chester
June 29, 2008 The Seniors took a 4 run lead into the bottom of the 7th inning in the 1st game on Sunday at WC East High but found a way to give up 5 runs in the 7th to fall 10-9. Just another close game and hard work without a win from Oxford. The team has played well just can't seem to get a break to pull out many close games this year. Steve McFadden threw 7 solid innings and the team 9 hits to go with the 9 runs. Marty Sessa, Nate Ramsden and Jordan Johnson all collected 2 hits each.

Seniors Chris Keeler throws 5innings of no hit ball
June 20, 2008 Chris Keeler didn't give up a hit until there was 1 out in the 6th inning vs Lionville. Unfortunately Oxford couldn't get the bats going behind Chris and Oxford fell 5-2 late. Chris allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in the 6th inning as part of an excellent defensive team. Chris kept the ball down and was consistently ahead of Lionville hitters. In the bottom of the 6th Oxford tied the game at 2-2 with hits from Jordan Johnson, Alex DigGiacomo (RBI-stolen base) and Marty Sessa (RBI). In the top of the 7th Lionville came back to score 3 runs to complete the win.

Seniors show grit - fall late to Caln (10-4)
June 18, 2008 Into the bottom of the 5th Oxford led Caln 4-3 with using a strong pitching performance from Alex DiGiacomo. In the bottom half of the 5th Alex gave up a walk and triple to give Caln confidence at the plate and go on to score 6 runs. With only 9 players and 2 Junior Legion callups Oxford showed it can play with anyone and continues to work hard.

Seniors take 3-2 Loss vs Avon Grove (Ian SIlvestri hits his 1st home run)
June 12, 2008 Oxford left 8 runners stranded in a close 3-2 loss at Avon Grove. Ian Silvestri accounted for both runs with his 1st home run of the season. In the 5th inning Ian drove an Avon Grove fast ball over the 300ft mark of right field with a man on to make the score 3-2. Oxford then left men on 2nd and 3rd in the 6th while trying to tie the game.

Steve Silvestri pitched 3 shut out innings taking over for Chris Keeler who left after 3 but only giving up 1 earned run over three innings. Jordan Johnson and Preston Keller both had doubles.

    Seniors fall in weekend pair
June 8, 2008 Oxford Seniors played a pair of weekend games vs Kennett (17-7 L) and Phoenixville (10-4 L) to start the 2008 Chester County League schedule.

On Saturday Oxford pulled to within 3 with some solid hitting and baserunning before Nate Ramsden hit his 1st CCALB home run over the 350 mark of center field. That pulled the game to 9-6 before Oxford allowed Kennett score 8 unearned runs to finish the game. Ramsden also hit the mark in dead center just missing a 2nd round tripper of the day.

On Sunday Oxford wasted a 5 inning effort by Preston Keller to fall to Phoenixville 10-4. Oxford once again waited until late in the game to get the bats going by posting their 4 runs in the last 2 innings. Jordan Johnson went 2-3 with a triple, Nate Ramsden again missed his 2nd home run in as many days with a shot off the center field fence and Preston Keller hit a bomb over the left fielders head for his first double of the year.

Upcoming Games: Oxford plays @ Downingtown Tuesday 6/10 and @ Avon Grove on 6/11 before going to Exton for a DH on 6/14 at Bob Owens Field.

Seniors WIN final Non-League vs. Mt. Carmel 6-5
May 30, 2008 Oxford Seniors in their last tuneup before their League Schedule begins won a close game 6-5 vs. Mt. Carmel. Oxford pitched 5 different pitchers with Jim Dolinger finishing it out for the win. Oxford and Mt. Carmel traded 3 run innings in the 4th and 5th and going into the 7th were tied 5-5. Steve Silvestri hit his first home run of the season to get the Oxford bats started in the 4th. Steve Silvestri finished the game off in the bottom of the 7th with an RBI single to win the game knocking in Ian Silvestri who walked to start the 7th and advanced all the way to 3rd on a Marty Sessa sacrifice bunt. Preston Keller pitched 2 scoreless innings and Alex DiGiacomo pitched 1 scoreless inning.
