The Doctor is Coming!!
We are very pleased to announce we have arranged with the doctors from Eagle Harbor Family Practice to attend our registrations on July 10th and 12th and to offer a sports physical to those in need. Cost is $20 and must be paid at time of physical. This will be on a first come first served basis during the alloted registration times. Two doctors will be available from 530-730 on Thursday night the 10th and one doctor on Saturday the 12th from 9 AM to Noon. Please plan according.
Nike Park Football Camp
We are pleased to pass on to you information regarding the NIKE PARK FOOTBALL CAMP. The camp will be held the week of July 21st at Nike Park in Carrollton, VA. For more info click on "PACKER NEWS" on the menu.
2008 SEASON NEARS
August 1, 2008 our season will officially kick off with the first practice. Our website counter is counting down the days. Before we take the field there is lots to do!! Registration dates are set so check out the Registration page to get all the info you need and start registration early. There are several public fundraising events that are being planned before the season starts, we hope to see you parents out there. The ticker is counting down and August 1st will be here before we know it!

With the beginning of the 2008 Football season we will have a first for disabled children in the Smithfield area. We will have a flag team that is tailored for their special needs. Even those in a wheelchair will be able to score a touchdown for their team. Click the link above to find out more info regarding this Challenger League.
Upcoming Events
These are just some of the things we are working on for the upcoming 2008 season:
3) Football Camp for players July 22nd thru 25th
4) Parent Meeting July/August
5) Practice begins August 1st
6) Scrimmages verses Bennetts Creek August 16th
6) Games begin Labor Day Weekend, August 30th
7) Punt, Pass & Kick Challenge & Picture Day Sunday September 14th.

We measure success by the effort given on and off the field, not the score of the game. Smithfield players will be prepared to play successfully at the next level of competition.

Welcome to the Website for Smithfield Pop Warner Football. We hope you will consider joining our Smithfield Packer Family. We are always looking for players, coaches and parent volunteers. Practice starts August 1st each year. The games begin the first Saturday in September and are usually played until the later part of October. Playoffs/championships could take the season into December. All you need to know to become a part of our football family can be found on this site. Hope to see you on the field soon!!
