ANNOUNCEMENT
This will be the 15th season of the Sayrewoods South Mens League. This year we’re going to need your help getting the word out to those of the original 48 that are not in the league anymore that we will be having a reunion of sorts probably in the form of an “Old Timers” All Star Game.
We’ll need your help with something else also. That help is in identifying which of you would like to step up and help run the league with Artie in 2009 as this will be the last year I will be administering, managing and most likely playing too. It’s been a great run and I’ve made a lot of friends here but the time has come to hang up my spikes (I mean cleats). Nothing to do with the league as I still profess that this is the best league in the state and I’m sure it will continue to be after my departure. It’s just time for me to do other things and we’re hoping that by announcing it early, one or more of you will offer to make the same commitment that Artie and I have made for many years as well as others before us.

Geick Park Rules
In the "Handouts" section is an email we received with respect to the "NEW" Geick Park. Their rules are our rules and will be strictly adhered to. Please read it. They are:
No Metal Spikes
No Gum Chewing
No Tobacco products
No Field Maintenance
Anyone caught violating these Old Bridge Township/SWSML Policies will be subject to immediate suspension.
NEW BOARD MEMBERS
I would like to congratulate 3 new board members that were elected last Wednesday during our managers meeting. The elected members were Tony Deluca, Scott LoNano and Tom D'Amato. They join our current board of Pete Roche and Howie Busch. I would like to thank all of you for your participation in making the Sayrewoods South Mens League the greastest league around. It is your continued support that makes a difference!
Game day reminders
As in the past, the primary place to look to see if a game has been cancelled is right here on the Website. You can also call 732-679-7803 and listen to the outgoing message. Please do not call from 11pm - 7am. If we all get used to these methods, you will save your managers numerous phonecalls. Thanks.
Tarps on the field
To all Managers: It is the responsibility of both Managers to make sure TARPS are put on the field after each night game and 3pm game on Saturday, as long as the tarps are not locked up or unless told otherwise by only Artie or Jerry.
