 Chess Club to Meet Twice A Month!

 

Mayor Mark A. Smith has announced that the Division of Recreation’s Chess Club will now hold practices twice a month from October to May. 

 

The Chess Club will meet on the first and third Saturdays each month, from 10am to 12pm, at the Recreation Senior Center at 597 Broadway. 

 

The club is open to Bayonne residents, boys and girls, ages six to seventeen.  Beginner and experience players are welcome. 

 

The chess club will prepare players for the fall and spring chess tournaments run each year by the Division of Recreation. 

 

Chess Master Joe Lux will be running all practices and the City of Bayonne will provide all the chess boards. 

 

There is a $25.00 annual membership fee.  Chess players may register in the Division of Recreation located in City Hall Room #13, 630 Avenue C.
