Division of Recreation Announces

Spring Chess Tournaments

Mayor Jimmy Davis has announced that the Division of Recreation’s Chess Club will hold its Spring Chess Tournaments at the Recreation Senior Center on the following days:

         Friday, May 13               -       6:00pm      -       Junior (Elementary) Championship

Friday, May 20            -       6:00pm      -       Bayonne Championship  

Registration for all tournaments will be taken over the phone, by calling (201) 858-6127, or email (BAYONNEREC@AOL.COM), any weekday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.  You may also register on the day of your tournament at the Senior Center (597 Broadway.)

Chess Master Joe Lux will again be running the tournaments. 

Please bring your own chessboards if you have them.  The back of the Senior Center will be open on both nights for anyone to play while the tournaments are going on.  If you need any additional information, please call Pete Amadeo @ (201) 858-6129.
