Division of Recreation to Host “CSI & Angry Birds” Minds In Motion Workshops!

Mayor Jimmy Davis has announced the Division of Recreation will host a “CSI & Angry Birds” workshops with the  Minds In Motion LLC!  Workshops are open to Bayonne residents, boys and girls, ages 6-13.  All workshops will take place at the Recreation Senior Center, located at 597 Broadway.  Minds In Motion LLC will conduct all workshops.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (AGES 6-13)

Come and join the Minds In Motion Crime Team in this fun and interesting workshop!  We will provide you with all the tools you need to become your very own crime scene investigator!  Learn all about forensics, searching for evidence, and gathering clues.  Working in groups, you will conduct many science experiments in our crime labs to solve the mysteries at hand!  You will also perform chemical analyses and observations working with powders, liquids, and much, much more!  Be amazed at how much science plays a part in solving a crime.  Come ready with your thinking caps and be prepared to use all the skills necessary to solve the crime of the century and help save the Minds In Motion Laboratory!  We need you!

Everyone has played the popular game in which birds are slingshot in the air to knock down a bunch of green pigs.  Now be a part of it in real life!  With Minds In Motion’s amazing and unique set up, kids can participate in this fascinating game using our very own giant slingshot and various green pig platforms that tower up to over eight feet high!  Learn the simple laws of physics on how it all works as you compete with other students to see how many birds it will take to knock all the green pigs down.  You’ll learn all about gravity, angles, projectile motion, and how to aim while having loads of fun!  You will also build and take home your very own mini angry birds kit along with many other fun activities, including a center of gravity kit.  Come join and be ready to get your mind in motion.  We need you to take all these pigs down!
