We are in desperate need of host families, with less than two weeks before players report we still have 12 players to place. Can you forward the below info to as many people that you can. Thank you so much!

The Sliders need YOU!

As the 2014 season approaches the Sliders have need for a few families to host a player (or two) for the summer season. The Sliders roster is set with players coming to Springfield from all over the country to compete in the Prospect League.

As the number of out of town players has increased so has our need for families to host these players. Being a host family is easy and is a great way to provide support for a young man chasing his dreams of playing professional baseball. Many of our past host families have developed long lasting relationships with these young men that extend well beyond baseball. These players often become part of the family, sharing memories with your family that will last a lifetime. And who knows...you may be hosting a future MLB star!

All you need to provide as a host family is a spare bed and room and a few meals when the player is not travelling. The Sliders play 60 games in 69 days so there isn't a lot of downtime for the players and knowing that they have a safe, comfortable place to go after a long road trip is one less thing we all have to worry about.

To go along with our eternal gratitude, as a host family you will also receive a few perks from the Sliders like season tickets, giveaways and invitations to team meals and events!

If you are interested in becoming a host family or you just want more information we urge you to contact them at slidersfun@springfieldsliders.com or call them at 679.3511.
