CENTERVILLE ELKS HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

Below are details of the Jeff Kennard Memorial Scholarship and come directly from the Jeff Kennard Memorial Scholarship Commitee.  This will be a yearly scholarship given out and will be a minimum of $500.  In some years there is a possibility to have multiple players.  Please contact Coach Whited if questions.  

Jeff Kennard Scholarship Criteria

*Senior

*Must have accumulated community service hours (minimum 50 for their career or 25 from just their senior year) specifically working with kids

Attributes that award winners will display:

*Leader, who leads by example

*Consummate teammate who included and supported all of his teammates

*Displayed sportsmanship

*Player that understood the TEAM was greater than the individual

*Treated younger players in the program with compassion, respect, and care

Process:

*Player must be nominated by a player in the program (Frosh/JV/Varsity)

*Player making the nomination must detail why they have made the nomination

*Coaches may ask Freshman and Junior Varsity players if they feel that there is a Senior player that has the attributes that are listed above

*There will be no GPA requirement

*CHS Coaching Staff will make final decision on award winner based on those that were nominated who best fit the attributes that have been detailed above
