The Central Carolinas Football League (CCFL) announced today three teams will compete for the CCFL title this season. The 2013 UNFL Mid-Atlantic Champions Carolina Thundering Herd, the Asheville Grizzlies and the 2012 CCFL Champions the Carolina Renegades. They will join the Carolina Hawks, The 2013 CCFL Runner-up and 2014 AFNT AA National Runner-up the Charlotte Colts, and the 2013 CCFL Champions and National Football Event National Runner-up the Catawba Hornets. "We now have two of the oldest minor league football franchises in North Carolina history with the Hornets (35 years) and Grizzlies (41 years)." Said CCFL Commissioner Dan Finkelstein. "It is exciting times to be a part of the CCFL."
