2018 Umpire Classes

It’s that time of year again!

The Nikki Ross Memorial Umpire School (NRMUS) is pleased to be hosting the annual 8 Week Umpire Clinic sanctioned by Baseball Ontario. We extend this invitation to Umpires from all associations. We are continuing the tradition of the late, Nikki Ross, great advocate of the baseball community.

The intensive-umpire training will include; contemporary techniques, procedures, mechanics and rule interpretations.  Umpires will be gaining Level 1 and 2 Certification with additional advanced components including game management, 3 umpire mechanics and advanced rules and interpretations. Baseball Ontario accredited and Certified Course Conductors (also Nationally Certified Umpires), will assist participants through each level's material.

The two-part course consists of: classroom work, involving rules & rule interpretations and on-field mechanics & positioning work. Each class will consist of 1.5 hours in class and 1.5 hours on field.
