Elk Grove Babe Ruth Baseball Clinic

Elk Grove Babe Ruth Baseball hosted a skills Clinic for 10-15 year old boys and girls at the diamonds of Jones Family park, located at 8840 Shasta Lily Drive Elk Grove, CA. 95624.

  9:30 - 10:00  Player registration

10:00 - 10:25  Welcome and introductions of Clinic Staff

10:30 - 12:00  Players Clinic

12:00 - 12:30  Guest Speakers :Danny Royster, Head of baseball operations for the Sacramento Stealth, (College Summer wood bat Team-pro prep) and Ryan Royster, Former pro and now Baseball Sports Agent. Subjects included the transition from Youth League Baseball to High School Baseball and beyond, the value of academics in obtaining athletic scholarships and inspirational real life examples of the value of the college education to the student-athlete.  Danny and Ryan held the attention of the players even after the 2 hour clinic. 

 Later 1:00 - 3:30 pm we had a pick up game for players 12-15, A tight game, won 3-1 in the last inning by the Beavers/Redwings over the Raptors/Owlz/Ironbirds squad.  Each team had a few players who were new to the league. 

 Elk Grove Babe Ruth is proud to have offered this clinic within our community.  We believe in teaching core life values through the love of the game!
