     (Gavin goes big fly!)

ELROSA--Gavin Kampsen hit his first homerun of the summer and Ethan Vogt pitched six solid innings as the Saints swept the season series from Greenwald Friday night with a 10-1 victory. Kampsen's homerun came in a 7 run second inning which saw the pinstriped prowlers send 12 batters to the plate and put the game out of reach. The run barrage was more than enough for the veteran Vogt who struck out 11 hitters while only allowing one walk. Will VanBeck looked more comfortable on the mound than the base paths as the young right hander struck out three and didn't allow a walk in a 3 inning save. Jackson Peter continued to rip the cover off the ball with a 2-for-3 performance including a double, RBI, and stolen base. As a team, the boys in blue showed some patience at the plate as they drew 9 walks. Saturday, the Saints traveled to Avon and won the flip cup challenge before the game but tied in the actual baseball contest 2-2. Saturday night, the Saints watched Brandon Roelike tie the knot as the man who invented 6er finally settled down! Next weekend, the Saints host their annual Elite 8 tournament in Elrosa with games starting Friday night and continuing Saturday and Sunday.
