CISAA JR./SR. HIGH WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017
Date and Time: Wednesday December 13th, 2017 from 4:00 pm to completion
Weigh-in: Wednesday December 13th, between 3:00 and 4:00 pm
Place: Rundle College Jr/Sr High School – 7375 17th Avenue SW
Entry Fee: $20.00 per wrestler - Please make cheques payable to Rundle College
Registration: a) NOTE: Coaches please contact Attila Kasap by email kasap@rundle.ab.ca with your intent to participate and your approximate numbers by December 7th.
b) We will weigh in all competitors on Wednesday, December 13th at Rundle College from 3:00 - 4:00 pm. We will then line up athletes in order of weight and then group them into weight categories for round robin competition, draw up the sheets, and then assign them to a mat to wrestle on. Our goal is to have wrestling begin at 4:30 pm.
Divisions: BOYS Jr. High: Grade 7, 8, and 9
-Exact weight in kilograms to be grouped in 4’s and 5’s for
round robin competition.
GIRLS Jr. High: Grade 7, 8, and 9
-Exact weight in kilograms to be grouped in 4’s and 5’s for
round robin competition.
BOYS and GIRLS High School:
-Exact weight in kilograms to be grouped for round robin
competition.
BOYS and GIRLS Elementary:
- Exact weight in kilograms to be grouped for round robin
exhibition competition. (no medals for this event)
Awards: Top three per weight (medals), 4th to 5th ribbons, team trophy, and banner.
Outstanding Male and Female wrestler award.
Rules: FILA Jr. Age Rules ( no gabori, ¼ nelson, or back
bending throws) New rules - two two minute rounds.
ASAA Sr. High Rules (no back bending throws) New rules - two three minute rounds.
