R. Jenkins, Jr. Earns Scholarships

 

 ROBERT JENKINS, JR is the first Lowcountry & RVA Ballers in the Class of 2016 to sign a Letter of Intent for a COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP during the Spring Signing Period!!!

He is the fifth Baller to earn a scholarship to college (see below) in the three years of the Richmond, VA based

RVA BALLERS existence!!!

 Robert Jenkins, Jr. (RJ)
   
 
He has signed to play basketball for 
Pfeiffer University
in Misenheimer, NC!!!
 
 
Robert Jr. (RJ) a 6'0 Point Guard for his Atlee HS team has agreed to continue his academic and athletic career at Pfeiffer Univ.  
 
 
RJ was selected as All State, All Region, All Conference 16, 12, & Capital District, VA Coaches East-West All State All Star Game, 804 All Star Game, VA Top 80, All Academic, and invited to participate as part of the VA All State team to play internationally in Australia and New Zealand.
     
   He was Richmond, VA Metro Area Top 5 Scorers this year with 536 points in 25 games.   He averaged 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2.8 steals per game during his senior season!
    
He is a 3-year basketball letter-winner and starter at 5A Atlee High School.  RJ was 3-year MVP, 2 time Player of the Year, 25-time Player of the Game, led his team in scoring, rebounding, assists, free throw%, three pointers made, and three point % for the last two seasons.
   
In just three years, RJ became only the 4th boy to score over 1000 points, broke the Career Scoring Record, and became the
ALL TIME CAREER LEADING SCORER
in the 25 year history of
ATLEE HIGH SCHOOL!
 
RJ also led his HS team to two of their best season W-L record, won their first ever playoff games (2), and reached the VA State Regionals for the first time in school history during 2015-16 season.  
 
 
RJ is an excellent student athlete as well, carrying a 3.93 GPA, member of the National Society for High School Scholars, National Beta Club, and awarded All Academic honors in Basketball for four years.  He had over 20 academic & athletic scholarship offers and was accepted to 24 different colleges/universities.  
 
 

 RJ has played AAU Travel Ball for six years.  Two with the Lowcountry Ballers Select Boys, two with our brother affiliate in VA - the RVA Ballers and one each with Team Richmond and Va Hokies.  

His Lowcountry Ballers coaches were his uncle, Davis Marshall, Jr. (former Erskine College Player) and Coach Delores Gray.

 

His RVA Ballers coaches were his mom, Denise Marshall Jenkins, oldest sister Dr. Ashley Jenkins, (both former Clemson Univ. Lady Tiger players), and his father, Robert Jenkins, Sr.
