The Santa Maria Quakes 8U All-Stars won the championship Sunday at the 9th Annual Lindsay Rose Memorial Tournament hosted by Goleta Valley Girls Softball.
The Quakes weekend began with a 16-2 victory over the Goleta Storm on Saturday followed by a 14-3 victory over the Goleta Thunder.
The Quakes beat the Goleta Storm 14-2 for the second time in the Sunday’s semifinals, setting up a game against the Orcutt Sparks for the championship where the Quakes won the title with a 6-3 victory.
