USA BAT STANDARD RESOURCE SHEET
In an effort to help clarify the new USA Bat Standards being adopted by Little League International, as of January 1, 2018, Upper Moreland Little League has decided to provide a brief document to help summarize the changes and consolidate some helpful resources.
Please note that as of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard will be implemented. Little League-approved baseball bats that are approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018. Baseball bats, marked with a 1.15 BPF stamp or Little League stamp, will no longer be legal for play.

Affects Baseball (T-Ball, Minor, Major, Intermediate 50/70, and Junior Leagues)

Senior League Baseball will still follow BBCOR Certification Guidelines

Does not affect softball at all

Allows both 2-1/4” and 2-5/8” barrel bats with USA Bat

Wood bats are still allowed. Multi-Piece and Composite Wood Bats must feature the USA Baseball Certification Mark to be approved.
