General Information
Entry Fees due no later than October 23rd. A tournament meeting will be held prior to the event for collection of fees and seeding. The meeting will be communicated to teams via e-mail and or text as soon as each division is set.
Tournament Rules
(RULES REGARDING WEIGHT)
Ball Advancement Weights:
8U - 85
10U - 110
12U - 135
All players must weigh in prior to the 1st game. This will be the official weight for the
tournament. If you choose not to weigh your player in before the tournament, your player will automatically
be a striper, which means they cannot run or advance the football on offense. On Defense interceptions and fumbles can be returned.
A red stripe will be placed on the back of their helmet. Copies of Birth certificates should be on hand if a child is questioned. Any team caught cheating will removed from the tournament with no refund.
Mini Division
Division name: Mini (8&U)
Ball advancement weight: 85 lbs.
Age: Cannot turn 9 before August 1 of current season.
Length of quarters: 8-minute clock
Junior Division
Division name: Junior (10&U)
Ball advancement weight: 110 lbs.
Age: Cannot turn 11 before August 1 of current season
Length of quarters: 8-minute clock
Senior Division
Division name: Senior (12&U)
Ball advancement weight: 135 lbs.
Age: Cannot turn 13 before August 1 of current season
Length of quarters: 8-minute clock
FIELDS
All Division fields:
100 yards long
10 yard end zone
3 yard extra point line – 15 yards in length at each end
RULES
In all divisions, extra points shall be scored: one point for running and two points for a forward Pass.
In all divisions, the time between the second and third quarter (half time) shall be ten
minutes. Each quarter shall be Eight minutes.
CODE OF CONDUCT
All commissioners, coaches, players, parents, and spectators will conduct themselves in a
distinguished, well-mannered character. “The Code of Conduct Standards” is displaying
fairness, respect, consideration of others, moral character, ethical behavior and good
sportsmanship.
If a player or coach is removed from a game because of his/her behavior, the game
officials shall notify the league, WBFL Football President or a Board member.
Any player or coach that is ejected from a game will not be able to participate in the
remainder of the tournament.
If a parent or spectator is asked to leave the premises, a report shall be submitted to the
Board for appropriate action. If the parent or spectator can be identified with
a team and refuses to leave the premises, the coaches of said team will be told that the
parent or spectator’s refusal to leave the premises will result in a forfeiture of the game. If
he/she does not leave, the game will be forfeited.
SECTION 2 – CODE OF ETHICS
Coaches are to place the emotional and physical well being of players ahead of personal
desires.
Coaches will lead by example, demonstrating fair play and good sportsmanship.
Coaches will provide a safe and healthy playing environment. This means a drug free,
tobacco free and alcohol free environment.
Coaches will treat all others with respect regardless of age, sex, race, religion or abilities.
Coaches will not use profanity, abusive language, derogatory statements and/or gestures.
