Aquafina Pitch Hit & Run a Big Success!!

Saturday June 20th saw over 70 youth baseball and softball players at Ranney Park competing in a unique baseball skills competition. Players showcased their skills in; pitching to a strike zone target, running the bases for speed, and their power at the plate hitting for distance and accuracy.

This is a very special opportunity for a group of selected players to take the field with the Lansing Lugnuts, being introduced one by one, and stand on the field during the playing of our National Anthem.
How it works – Wildcat Baseball and Softball Support Staff will be attending games throughout the season. Players who are spotted being a good sport will be given a card notifying them that they have been recognized as a “Beyond The Scoreboard” player for that game.
All of the nominated players’ names will go into a lottery drawing for the final 18 players who will represent Lansing Parks & Recreation before and during the Lugnuts game. There is no limit to the number of times a child can be nominated by our staff.
