TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS
5th & 6th Grade Boys:
After a two-week delay, the championship game between the Athletics and the Pirates took place Saturday, June 27.
Pirates won 4-3.
5th & 6th Grade Girls:
A championship game was played on Friday, June 12, between the Mets and the Phillies.
Mets won 10 - 4.
3rd & 4th Grade Girls:
A play-off double-header was held on Saturday, June 13, followed by the championship game between the Yankees and Phillies. Yankess won 15 - 4.
Congratulations to the Pirates, Mets, Yankees, and all players for a great season despite the weather!

SPECIAL OFFER FOR RECREATION BASEBALL, SOFTBALL & T-BALL PLAYERS!
The folks at Pioneer Pizza Grille & Creamery (now open in Village Shopping Center) know kids get hungry and thirsty, especially when they're outside playing sports!
They also know support from the community is crucial to New Providence Recreation's programs.
From now until the end of June, any player wearing their uniform (T-Shirt & hat) can get a slice of cheese pizza, a small fountain soda or a small ice cream for only $1 each!
SUMMER BASEBALL & SOFTBALL CAMPS
BASEBALL CAMP JUNE 29 - JULY 3, 2009: For New Providence resident children ages 8-15 (participants must be 8 years old by June 30, 2009). Players grouped by age and skill level.
Directed by former NPHS Head Baseball Coach, Paul Miller, players will be taught the skills and stategies of the game. Sportsmanship will be emphasized.
Held at NP High School gym and fields, camp runs 9:00am - 2:00pm (five days). Cost: $100.

SOFTBALL CAMP JUNE 29 - JULY 2, 2009: For New Providence resident children ages 8-14 (participants must be 8 years old by June 30, 2009). Players grouped by age and skill level.
Directed by Vince Turturiello, 15-yr School/Competitive Tournament Coach, players will be taught the skills and stategies of the game. Sportsmanship will be emphasized.
Held at Roberts school fields, camp runs 9:00am - 12:00pm (four days). Cost: $80.
