Registration for the Fall 2008 season is open! The season is set to start September 6, 2008.
League Restricts Smoking at All Events
Just a reminder.
The WCSA Board of Directors voted last year to restrict smoking at all Wayne County Soccer events. This restriction includes practices, games, tournaments, clinics, etc.
No smoking is allowed on or around any of the soccer fields. Two areas have been designated for those who wish to smoke; location one is the parking lot and location two is across the walking track between baseball field's one and two.
We appreciate your help and compliance with this new regulation. This action was taken in accordance with the association's Kid Safe program as a concern for protecting the health of our children.
WCSA Inclement Weather Policy
The decision to play or not to play matches will be made by the league President in consultation with the board of directors. Coaches will be notified who in turn will notify their team.
The deciding factor in postponing a match is always the saftey of the players.
Items to consider:
1. BE PATIENT: Give us time to make a decision and give your coach time to call you. While not always possible, every effort will be made to give at least 45 minutes notice of a cancellation. Please do not call the board members or President as they will be trying to call the coaches and their own team(s).
2. Just because it has rained or is raining does not mean matches will be cancelled. Assume we are playing.
3. Just because an earlier match is cancelled does not mean your match is cancelled and just because a match on one field is cancelled does not mean your match is cancelled. Assume we are playing. Drainage varies from field to field and cancellations will be made on a time/field basis.
4. Until you hear otherwise, Assume we are playing.
