Season Comes to an End Shortly

March 6, 2018

Parents, Guardians and Coaches,

The end of the soccer season is just around the corner for most.  I saw a lot of enthusiastic kids and parent-coaches that stepped up to support our club and lead your child's team.

Due to city baseball activities, we will not have boys games this Saturday, March 10th.

We will have our last regular season games and end of season tournaments on March 17th. Due to personal schedules, some games may be played during the week, but your coach will provide you those details, if this is the case. Those teams in the U10 and U12 age groups, who win the club tournament, will have an opportunity to play in the South District tournament on April 14th/15th in Gulfport.  If you happen to be on one of those teams, please support this tournament if you can.  These are the opportunities that build the passion for the sport.

I hope that everyone has enjoyed the 2017-2018 soccer season at SRSC.  Player and coach development continues to be a focus for us.  We recently had 8 SRSC coaches get trained and certified by the State's Coaching Director.  Next season, we will continue our efforts to increase the training level of your child and help the parent-coach be even more effective.

From myself and all of the SRSC Board members, we wish you and your child a good end to the season, and we hope to see you back in SRSC next season.

Barry Jackson
