A special congratulations to Key Centre for winning the championship!
- 2nd Place - Cation Excavating
- 3rd Place - Lyons Auto
- 4th Place - Halton Pool
Other tournament highlights include the Home Run Derby win by Team Key Centre's very own Andrew Neilson and Chris Hunt—well done!
We are also excited to share that we were able to raise a good amount of money for the league, which helps keep our overall user fees down. A huge thanks to everyone who supported this event!
Looking ahead, our next event will be the Year-End Banquet on October 19th. More information on that will be shared soon.
Thanks again to all the players, team sponsors, execs, co-captains and supporters for another great season.
Rule Change: Courtesy Runners
We have expanded the rule around Courtesy Runners. The new rule takes into consideration a player that has an injury, but can still play ball. The new rule states:
By Law 10: Base Running
10.2 A maximum of eight (8) “courtesy runners” is allotted to each team per game. The courtesy runner can be any player at any time, and must be tracked and recorded by each team and the home plate umpire. If a base runner is unable or unwilling to be a base runner and all courtesy runners have been used, the runner will be called out. Each team can designate at the beginning of the game a maximum of two (2) injured players. This must be discussed with the opposing executive, and agreed upon. Once all 8 Courtesy Runners are used, the designated injured player can continue to have unlimited runners, but the runner must be the last out.
