COACHES' MELEE - MARCH 20

Make sure you have looked at your school district's calendars before the COACHES MELEE on March 20. There are also weekend tournaments scheduled for each level.   Click here for a blank calendar with holidays and tournaments scheduled on it.

8U Coaches will meet at 6:00 pm

10U and 12U coaches will meet at 7:00 pm.

Possible 8U Tournament

Brandywine would like to see if any organization is interested in an 8U tournament on May 17-18.  This is just to expose the girls to a tournament weekend atmosphere.  Registration may be between $75-100.  If you are interested, please email Trevor DeLong at bgslpresident@yahoo.com soon!

SCHUYLKILL VALLEY HITTING CLINIC MARCH 15

Schuylkill Valley Coach Jim Campbell and his players will be hosting a hitting clnic for girls grade 3-8 on March 15 from 12-4pm at the SV High School.  Cost is $40/player and $30 for a sister.  You may register at the door or call Jim at 610-921-3435 for registration.  Click here for the registration form. The girls will get great instruction and a t-shirt!

Feb 20 meeting briefs:

• Invoices and calendars were distributed.  Registrations and invoices will be paid at the next meeting on March 20, which is also our coaches melee, so have your calendars and field availability ready!  Season begins April 11.
• Start thinking about what businesses may be interested in sponsoring or donating to BCGSL since we are the biggest girls softball organization in Berks County - and getting bigger!
• There are some by-law and rules changes.  The revised copies will be placed online shortly.  Thank you to the Rules Committee!
• Kutztown Coaches Clinic will be rescheduled - all will be contacted and the change placed on website.
• SV hitting clinic March 15 - see further down on this page.
• Brandywine wants to know who is interested in an 8U tournament on 5/17-18. Email Trevor DeLong bgslpresident@yahoo.com.
• Kempton Softball Association would like to join our league.  They will enter this year and we hope they will grow in the next three years with a goal of full league membership.

THIS CLINIC IS CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER AND THE START OF THE COLLEGIATE SEASON.   We will refund the registration fees.  The KU coach would like to offer a session with her players after their double header on April 18.  You do not have to sign up, just stay at the field after their second game and the collegiate players will work with our girls.
