50/70 Intermediate Division Baseball
“District 18 is going to be running an Interleague 50/70 division (50 foot pitching distance / 70 foot bases) for 13 year olds during the spring 2017 season. Brick Little League is opening registration for this division. This division is for the player who may not be ready to jump from the major league diamond (46 foot pitching distance / 60 foot bases) direct to the big field (60’6” pitching distance / 90 foot bases). This will give the player a year to transition to the big field. Rules are very similar to play on the big field, leading, stealing, pick offs, etc. The player would get a good introduction to big field play on a smaller more manageable field. This division is currently being offered to 13yr olds only.”
17/18 Year Old Baseball
“Little League Baseball has discontinued its Big League Divisions. This has hit District 18 hard as many of our leagues had teams participating in the program. Knowing that we still have many players here in Brick that want to play ball at this age we have opened up registration for 17/18 baseball. The intent here is if we can get enough interest we will form a team(s) to compete in an Ocean County League made up of towns who have Little League programs that have players interested in playing, or the team would be entered in a travel baseball league. This team would not be affiliated with Little League. If interested please register through the system. There is no fee required at this time to register.”
