News

On February 19th we launched a new site at LFE Hoops. The new site is far from complete but will be the new hub for all things LFE. The new site, powered by Team Snap will allow us more transparent communication, scheduling , and placement of girls and parents. The site is now live for Spring League and Summer League. Over the course of the next year we will be phasing out our old site in favor of our new site.

Rules and Policies 2019

"Let the player's play, the coaches coach and the officials officiate!"

The rules and policies will be strictly enforced.  Please support all the girls on the court, not just your own player and team.  We are a family and we want what's best for our family.

Welcome to Lady Falcons Elite Hoops

Lady Falcons Elite Hoops is dedicated to providing high quality basketball instruction and player development for the girls in the Pennsbury Community and the surrounding communities in Lower Bucks County. It is our passion to help our young girls reach their full potential, not only as basketball players but as individuals of quality character who will further strengthen this great & proud community.

OUR PROGRAMS (Fall/Winter)

BIDDY BALL (Grades K-1)

Biddy Ball is designed for our youngest players. Players in grades K-1 participate in our Biddy Ball program. Biddy Ball is run by William Penn Middle School head coach and LFE director, Dave Costanzo.

Biddy Ball takes place on Friday nights for one hour between 6 and 8pm. Starting the first week in November, the girls will participate in high energy, super fun clinic style workouts with the goal of teaching the girls the fundamental skills they will need to play in a real basketball game. As the girls progress through the weeks, they are introduced to their coach and their teammates and we do less skill work, gradually getting the girls into some of the cutest 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 basketball games you've ever seen. We should sell tickets. Friends and grandparents should have their cameras ready.

Cost-$150 during Open Registration (until 10/10) $180 after

IN HOUSE ACADEMY (Grades 2-12)

LFE Academy Hoops is an excellant opportunity for beginners and developing players to hone their skills in a more cooperative and less competitive  environment.  Practice time will be dedicated to developing fundamental skills with an emphasis on footwork & pivoting, shooting, dribbling, passing, and individual defensive techniquue.  As the girls progress in their skill development, team concepts principles will be built from basic to a more complex level.  All players in this league will experience consistency in the offensive and defensive approach & systems. In addition, coaches will be supported by Academy Directors who will assist in the planning and execution of practices.

In House Academy practices start at the beginning of November and games commence the first Saturday of December. In House Academy teams practice one night per week for an hour. Games on Saturday also take approximately one hour to complete and are played in an area elementary or middle school depending on the division.

LFE TRAVEL HOOPS

If your daughter's skill level has advanced to a point that you are seeking a more competitive environment, then LFE Travel may be for her. Travel players must tryout and be selected for travel teams, and there is no guarantee that all players will be chosen for a travel team. Travel teams practice at least twice per week, typically for 90 minutes at a time. In comparison to Academy, this is three times as much practice time per week. Additionally, travel teams play in competitive travel leagues against other basketball organizations and games can take place up to an hour and a half away from home. It is a significant commitment and we ask our travel players to make their travel team their priority for the winter season.

Travel tryouts typical begin the first week of October and teams are selected by the third week in October. At this point, practices begin and because we realize that fall sports are still in season, we ask travel players to make at least one practice per week. Once the fall season ends around the second week of November, we ask travel players to commit to making all practices and games. The ICBA travel season begins with a Queens of the Court Tournament the first week of December and regular season league play begins the week before Christmas. The season typically runs until the first or second weekend of March.

Cost-$150 must be paid before tryouts in early October. Total cost-$410

What is a Developmental League? What does Lady Falcons Elite Hoops believe?

Lady Falcons Elite Hoops is a developmental league that prides itself on teaching the game. We believe that love for the game is developed as the players gain competency in executing fundamental skills and team concepts. We believe in a systemic approach built on our guiding principles and a common vocabulary that will be established at the earliest levels of play and built upon as the players increase in skill level and basketball IQ. We will not only provide instruction for the girls who play in our league, but we are dedicated to giving our volunteer coaches the resources, training, and materials needed to carry out our mission of creating a basketball community built on a foundation of hard work, fundamentals, and team play. We want your daughter to improve as a player and as a person as a result of her experience with LFE Hoops and we strive to prepare our girls for the challenges they will face at the next level of play on the court and in the game of life.

What Can You Expect From Us?

Passion! Tons of passion! Our directors love the game of basketball and want your daughters to share in that passion as they see themselves get better in all facets of the game

·         A family first, basketball league second mentality

·         A developmental philosophy instead of a recreational philosophy-we believe that the girls will develop a passion and love for the game as they see themselves improve. This is empowerment through sport.

·         2 weeks of fundamental skill training in  a clinic style setting for the purpose of fundamental skill development and player assessment before the season starts and continuing throughout the year.

·         Competitive balance in the in house academy division and focus on cooperative competition.

·         Consistency-because all LFE Hoops coaches will be trained in the system of play that we will implement league wide starting in 2nd grade, all coaches will be speaking with the same terminology and be emphasizing the same key teaching points starting at a young age and building in sophistication as the girls grow up in the league

·         More opportunities to play and develop-12 game season (weather permitting), spring clinics, and summer skill sessions.

·         Support, materials, and direct instruction for coaches, so that they are prepared to run productive training sessions throughout the season.

·         A competitive travel program in which the girls will play against the area’s top competition

·         A program whose system of play is endorsed by the Girls’ Varsity Program and will prepare the girls to play at the next level if they choose to pursue that goal.

·         Open lines of communication-we will use our email notification system through our site as well as social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to communicate with parents. Questions, concerns, and changes of schedule will be addressed quickly, concisely, and through multiple outlets.

·         Community Service-LFE Hoops seeks to give back to this great community that has given us so much.
