The Prince William County (PWC) "Panthers Youth Track Club

is a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Organization formed under Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and United States Track & Field (USATF) associations; which strives to motivate youth between the ages of 6-19 in the Prince William/Fredericksburg/Stafford/Quantico and surrounding areas. Our track club coaches and officers are a group of dedicated volunteers with the desire to promote a competitive track club that mentors and encourages student athletes. Our track program has developed an environment to support leadership, health, fitness, self-esteem, self-discipline and teamwork; while also promoting academic excellence and community involvement within a quality sports program.

Our Program offers athletes a dynamic balance through team/individual elements of track and field as a medium to strengthen work ethics and foster self-esteem.  Track is not about just running and athletic conditioning; moreover, it is a training ground for our next generation of productive citizens.

Team members learn the lessons that competition teaches both on the athletic field and in life. They also learn to combine self-discipline, training, and dedication; lessons that carry over into all aspects of their lives.

PWC Panthers offers the following running program throughout the year:

March-August (Outdoor Season)
Practice 4 day per week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Outdoor season is the core of the training process because it is when all of the competitions will be offered. We also use outdoor season as a tool to help coaches monitor athlete's academic and social progress during the school year, following up on tutoring needs, and keep parents in sync with upcoming community service projects.

Volunteer Policy:
see BULLETIN BOARD - VOLUNTEER

Academic Requirements:

As athletes develop both physically and academically, they are inspired to achieve their personal best, whether that is in the form of college scholarships or as Olympic hopeful. We realize that not all of our athletes will grace the cover of a sports magazine, which is why we stress the importance of scholastic achievement through our grade point average guidelines.

All of our athletes must maintain at least a C average in order to participate.
