Proposed Booster By-law Changes
Proposed By-Law Changes
At the January meeting, amendments to the SHS Booster Club By-laws were proposed by members of the Board of Directors.
Many of these changes have to do with how the office of Treasurer operates, but there are also proposals regarding meeting frequency, voting eligibility and other topics.

Call for Volunteers!
The SHS Booster Club is desperately needs people who are willing to volunteer their time to fill a couple of key positions, and help out on our Business Sponsors. The handful of people we have simply can’t do it all and the time it needs to be done is NOW, not after school starts.
On the Board, we are still seeking a Treasurer. This position keeps all the financial records and prepares a report for the general membership for our meetings. The Treasurer will also deposit funds into our account and pays approved bills. We are in the process of updating our financial software and purchasing a laptop for the Treasurer’s use for Booster business.
We are also seeking a couple of people who would be willing to work together on Concessions. We realize that this is a big job for one person, which is why we're seeking two. Ideally, one person to coordinate purchasing and one person to work with our coaches to ensure proper volunteer staffing for both outside and inside concessions.
The Boosters are also instituting a Business Sponsorship Program to raise money from Streamwood and area businesses. We have identified over 50 possibilities, and I’m sure that there are many more. If you have time during the summer, we are looking for volunteers to approach these companies and pitch our program. We'd like to get enough people that no one will have to do more than 7 or 8 businesses. If you have connections with any businesses, please let us know.
We hope that some of you can step up to the plate and help us out. We have big plans for this year (we want to at least double our revenues), but we need your help to make it possible for us to achieve that goal.
