The Spring Cove VFW Teener Baseball League is pleased to announce a partnership with the Garver YMCA. 16U Cove Areas Businesses Head to VFW State Tournament

Even though CAB suffered a hard-fought 5-4 loss to Cumming Motors on Saturday, July 27th, they will still advance to the 2013 Pennsylvania VFW State Tournament, held in Bellefonte, PA from August 2nd thru August 5th. CAB will play their first game on Friday, August 1st against Area 3 champions Senior Teener East @ 2:30 pm at the Bellefonte Teener League field. Good Luck!

VFW Informational Meeting

Please join us for an informational meeting regarding the Spring Cove Summer baseball program. VFW and Federation baseball questions will be answered. 2015 Registration Forms Available

Please click on the "Handouts" section of the website for the 2015 Spring Cove VFW Baseball League registration form. 

A $40 non-refundable registration fee must be returned by March 22, 2015, with this form to be eligible for the draft.  – Make all checks payable to Spring Cove VFW Baseball League.

VFW Informational Meeting

All -- there will be an informational meeting on Monday, April 11th @ 6:30 pm @ Central High School. All are welcome to attend.

 

If you will be between the ages of thirteen and sixteen years of age prior to July 31, 2016 and would like to play baseball in the VFW League this season, please attend this meeting with your parents.

 

The 13-14 year old league will consist of all players that will be under 15 yrs of age, as of July 31, 2016.

 

Any player that will turn 15 before July 31 can play in the 13-14 year old league, but will not be eligible for post season play.

The 15-16 year old league will consist of all players that will be under 17 yrs of age, as of July 31, 2016.

Any player that will turn 17 before July 31 can play in the 15-16 year old league, but will not be eligible for post season play.

LEBANON — Devon Boyles, the MVP of the tournament, pitched a five-inning one-hitter with 10 strikeouts in a 13-0 win for Spring Cove over Schuylkill West to get his team going in the right direction at the 13-14 VFW State Tournament Sunday.

Two wins over Mount Union later, Spring Cove was the state champion.

Spring Cove held off a Mount Union rally in first game when it won, 5-4, after Mount Union scored two in the final inning.

Dalton Metzger helped Spring Cove slam the door on a title in the second game, pitching a complete-game shutout in Cove’s 11-0 victory.

Josh Biesinger had three hits in the first win of the day.

Spring Cove finished the tournament, which was delayed by rain for a week, 5-1.

SPRING COVE 11, MOUNT UNION 0: Multiple hits–Watkins 2, Metzger 2 (SC); Knable 2 (MU). WP–Metzger. LP–Knable. SO–Metzger 1 (SC); Knable 1 (MU).
