Details on the Spring Season:

For the past two years, VBYL has independently scheduled games with towns in the region.  This year, VBYL is re-entering the Rochester Area Lacrosse League (, as there have been changes in the RALL scheduling guidelines that the board believes are favorable.

The primary changes that RALL has instituted, this year, that have drawn us back into the league are:

1) Round Robin Style Scheduling (teams will play a minimum of 2 games on Game-Days) against neighboring towns.

2) Regional Scheduling, where possible (hopefully keeping the travel within a smaller geographic region for all towns).

3) Altering the Season end-date (historically, the season ended on the 2nd Saturday in June, this year it will end Saturday, May 19th).

Details:  Victor Boys Youth Lacrosse offers K-2nd, 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grade teams in the 2018 Rochester Area Lacrosse League (RALL).  This is an instructional program for all skill levels.  All current K-6th grade boy students in the Victor Central Schools are Eligible to Participate.  Depending on registration numbers, we may create a separate Kindergarten Only level, for this year.

Schedule:  Practices are held on the VCS Campus M & W between 5:30 and 8:00 PM (the start/end times are at the discretion of the coach, with each practice being 1.5 hours) and Sat 9:00 -10:30 AM starting in Late March/Early April (weather permitting). League games are held at either the VCS fields or the opponent’s fields each Saturday morning.  In addition, we may schedule additional days with certain towns, directly, to provide additional playing opportunities.  The Season will conclude the weekend of May 19th.

Registration and Fees:  The season’s fee will be $90, if registration is completed by the end of February.  The fee will rise to $110 on March 1st, with the final day to register March 9th.  There is a $300 maximum charge for families in the program.

Equipment: Each player must provide their own lacrosse stick (please note, not a "fiddle" stick), arm pads, shoulder pads, gloves, cup and mouthpiece.  All players may borrow a helmet for the season if needed.  K-2nd graders can also borrow gloves, elbow pads and shoulder pads.

Beginning January 15th, 2018, the Victor Boy's Youth Lacrosse Program will begin holding Positional Training Sessions geared toward players in the Victor Boy's Youth Lacrosse Program in Grades 3 through 6.  To be eligible to take part in these training sessions it is preferred that the player participated in the Victor Boy's 2017 Travel Program, though it is not mandatory.  It is mandatory that the participant have at least one year of organized lacrosse experience.

The sessions will be held at Total Sports Experience in East Rochester, with the schedule both below.  This training will focus on skill development, overall positional training and game concepts.

Please Pay Close Attention to the Schedule, as the dates and times may vary week-to-week

There will be a minimum of 10 training sessions and these sessions will be used not only for development, but also (in part) as a means to evaluate players for placement on the 2018 Travel Teams.  There will also be formal tryouts for those Travel Teams, with early February being the target timeframe (specific dates will be provided, soon).

Thank you for visiting the Home Page of the Victor Boy's Youth Lacrosse Program.  We are a community based program for students attending the Victor Central School District in Kindergarten to 6th Grade.  We have programming that spans the entire calendar year, with the Spring and Summer being our primary season.

1) We typically do one or two Fall Tournaments (typically local area)
2) We play in an indoor league at Total Sports Experience in Gates, NY in the Late Fall and Early Winter (January)
3) We have optional Winter Training Sessions at the Pinnacle Athletic Campus (which is right in Victor) one night per week, beginning in early January and extending into early April (this program is for participants of our competitive travel teams)
4) We host a variety of Skill & Drills Sessions for players through the calendar year, both indoors and outside (weather permitting)
1) We have both a Rec Season and a Travel Season (this is where we play our tournaments).  The Rec Season starts in March/April and is all local, made up of blended teams from a development/experience perspective.  During this season we play other local town teams on Saturdays in April and May, with practices on Monday & Wednesday evenings at the school campus.  The Rec Season lasts between 7 and 8 weeks (weather permitting).  The teams for this league are K-2, 3-4 and 5-6 grades.
2) Our Travel Season begins in Late-May/Early-June and is broken down by graduation year (2024, 2025, 2026 and then some combined at the younger ages).  We will host the tryouts for these teams in Late February/Early March (dates TBD).  We play 3 tournaments in the Summer (these are  competitive tournaments that are spread around the Northeast), plus a competitive league that we host in Victor during the month of June.  There are also practice sessions for these teams, as well.
The overall goal for us, as a program, is for the kids to have a ton of fun and to learn the game, the right way.
