USA BAT RECALL - PLEASE TAKE NOTE

This is to inform you that, effective immediately, the 30 inch Easton Ghost X (-10) 2 5/8 (Models YBB18GX10 and  LL18GHX) have been decertified by USA Baseball, and thus, are no longer allowed for play in Little League Baseball. Any player with this type of bat will no longer be permitted to use it for any WPLL sponsored baseball activity, including all practices and games.

Please note that the WPLL was not involved in this rule change. Questions regarding the decertification itself should be directed to USA Baseball at USABat@USABaseball.com. Parents with questions regarding returns, refunds, etc. should be directed to contact Easton directly at ghostreturn@easton.com or 844-531-7079

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

ATTENTION VOLUNTEERS!!

To assure the safety of our Little League players, all managers, coaches and other volunteers are required to submit a Little League International official volunteer application and undergo a criminal background check.  As of March 1, 2018, the White Plains Little League will not be collecting personal information.  Instead, volunteers’ names and email addresses will be sent to Little League International’s official vender, JD Palatine (JDP).  JDP will then email to each volunteer a link to a website where the volunteer will officially apply.  Part of the application will be the submission of pertinent personal information and JDP will perform the background checks.  It remains mandatory that all volunteers (new and returning) submit to a background check before they can be permitted to volunteer.

The White Plains Little League will then receive a report from JDP with results of the background checks.  No personnel at WPLL or Little League International will ever have access to any volunteers’ personal information submitted to JDP.

If you have submitted the pre-existing form of a Volunteer Application for the 2018 spring season, it will be discarded.  You must submit your application through JDP.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Terence Guerriere, WPLL Safety Officer, at tpguerriere@gmail.com.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and for volunteering!
