COUGAR CUBS DIVISION AGE & EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES:
This spring program offered to 4 and 5 year-old boys and girls who are residents of Montgomery & Rocky Hill Townships and who are not yet in Kindergarten, but who will be starting Kindergarten in the upcoming fall.
COUGAR CUBS DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Our young Cougar Cubs players will be learning the very basics of baseball - throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting (off a tee) - in an exciting, fun, fast-paced setting. Each registered player will receive an MBL hat, a "Montgomery Baseball Cougar Cubs" t-shirt, and a pair of baseball pants. Helmets and bats will be provided, but players should bring their own baseball glove. Players should wear comfortable sneakers or (optionally) baseball cleats. After every game, each player will receive a $2 coupon good for the MBL Concession Stand.
RULES:
The only rule is to have fun!
SCHEDULE:
Kids will meet once-a-week for about 75 minutes for up to eight weeks that will include a fun, structured practice followed by either a short contest or game.
ROSTERS:
Players will divided into groups each week of roughly 8-10 players – each with one Coach and 1 Assistant – and will rotate between 4 different “action stations”, each one focusing on a different baseball skill set.
FIELDS:
Sessions will be held on Saturdays mornings at the McKnight Baseball Complex. Players should meet each week at the Concession Stand for introductions before we move onto the outfield of Field H for our session.
