The Rookies II league is open for all boys and girls ages 8 and 9 as of May 1st. The Rookies II league is for intermediate players who have demonstrated basic baseball skills such as catching and throwing a ball and hitting live coach pitching. Rookies II builds on the skills learned in tee ball and/or Rookies I with an increased emphasis on game play including pitching, catching, defense and running the bases. The Rookies II league is coach pitch with limited player pitch towards the end of the season. On the field instruction is provided by Rutgers certified coaches to teach fundamental skills and to reinforce the rules of the game. Games are typically played on Saturday afternoons with games at Ardmaer Park or other fields throughout Bridgewater. Teams typically have one practice during the week on a night selected by the Manager. We try to match families with teams that practice on a night that fits their schedule.
The Bradley Gardens Little Loop is open to all players regardless of where they live, what school they attend, and their experience/skill level. Unlike other leagues, the Little Loop does not require parents to post work bonds before their children can participate in our league.
