PLAYOFF SCHEDULE FOR "THE ANGELO": WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 2ND... SEMI FINALS AND FINALS. There will be pizza for ALL players after at 8:30 and 9:30 from Villa Milano..(Don was an old friend of my father Angelo from Brooklyn.)
5:30- Semifinal ... 1 seed GREEN VS. 6 seed NAVY BLUE (winner plays at 8:30)
6:30- Semifinal ... 2 seed COLUMBIA BLUE VS. 5 seed ORANGE (winner plays at 8:30)
7:30- FRIENDLY GAME ... RED VS. WHITE (PIZZA FOR ALL PLAYERS COURTESY VILLA MILANO)
8:30- CHAMPIONSHIP GAME BETWEEN THE WINNER OF THE 5:30 & 6:30 GAMES. (PIZZA TO FOLLOW FOR ALL PLAYERS COURTESY VILLA MILANO)
"The Angelo" St. Mary's Summer League 2017 Rules and Guidelines:
-The goal for this league is to make it as fun as possible for ALL players. Sportsmanship and including all children into the league is more important than winning. That was the mission of my father, Angelo Mitaritonna- that is why we will honor his name and make the kids more important than winning.
-All games will be officiated by high school student volunteers. Please take that into consideration.
-All games will be two-16 minute halves running time (other than time outs and foul shots).
-The clock will stop on everything in the last 2 minutes of the game.
-Zone defenses are allowed throughout the game.
-Pressing may begin in the second half. When a team has a 15 point lead or more, there will be no more pressing.
-Each team will be given 4 full timeouts that carry over.
-Subs must be made every 4 minutes regardless of the score or situation. Please plan accordingly.
-The league coordinator has the right to make any decisions in the best interest of the league. Any questions should be directed to Bill Mitaritonna
