PARENT CONTRACT 2020

It is our wish to have a fun, safe, exciting, competitive and hazard free 2019 season. The following areas are very important to the success of the program. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must read and agree to all conditions outlined below.

PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY
1. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) are responsible for paying the athlete’s registration fees in accordance with the following schedule:

1st payment due by first practice March 9, 2020;
2nd payment due by March 23, 2020;
3rd payment due by April 6, 2020;
Final payment (fundraiser) due by April 20, 2020.

2. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) are responsible for attending parent meetings and are encouraged to attend Booster Club meetings.

3. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) are responsible for their athlete’s transportation to and from practice sites and track meets.

4. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) with children ages 10 and under are required to be present at all practices and track meets to monitor their children, unless other prior arrangements have been made and approved by Head Coach.

5. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) have given permission for their athlete's image to be reproduced and used by East End Flyers Track & Field Club for advertisement, communication and/or publication.

COACHING
1. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of the athlete must allow coaching staff to instruct the athlete without interference.

2. Any athlete missing two (2) consecutive practices will not be allowed to compete in the next upcoming track & field meet unless approved by Head Coach.

FUNDRAISING
1. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and/or athletes MUST participate in ALL fundraising activities held by the East End Flyers Track & Field Club, unless other arrangements have been made and approved by the Booster Club President.

2. As a Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of an athlete I understand the full value of the fundraiser must be completed and turned in by the due date or I can choose to pay the Fundraiser Opt-Out amount listed on the "Program Cost" below.

PROGRAM COST
****FEES PAID ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AFTER THE FIRST MEET****
1st Payment $75.00 / Due at Registration.
2nd Payment $75.00 / Due March 23, 2020.
3rd Payment $75.00 / Due April 6, 2020.
4th Payment $100.00 (Fundraiser Opt-Out) / Due April 20, 2020.
TOTAL $325.00 / For the 2020 Season

Fees include either AAU or USATF membership, meet Entry fees and team registration fee, uniform and team pictures. Meet entry fees cover all competitions through the District Qualifier. All track & field competitions after the District Qualifier must be paid based on the individual athlete qualifying for those meets, to include the Regional Qualifier and the Junior Olympics.

Youth athletes will not be allowed to participate in any scheduled practices or competitions until the membership fees for AAU or USATF have been paid and the Club receives membership cards. This membership provides insurance for all members in the event of an injury.

BEHAVIOR
1. The coaching staff will document all behavior problems and inappropriate incidents. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) will be contacted and the staff will review with parent(s) any athlete having three (3) or more cited incidents. Dismissal from the Team may result.

2. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) are not allowed on the track during practices or meets without expressed permission of the Head Coach.

3. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must conduct themselves in a courteous and respectful manner during practices and meets. All issues are to be brought to the attention of the Head Coach and are to be dealt with in a professional and timely manner.

4. If Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of an athlete are unable to fulfill the responsibilities of this contract, the athlete will be unable to participate as a member of the East End Flyers Track & Field Club.


WAIVER OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT:
I hereby grant permission for my child to participate with the East End Track & Field Club for the 2019 season. I hereby for myself, my child, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I or my child may have against the East End Track & Field Club, the City of Newport News, VA, Christopher Newport University and the aforementioned entities representatives, sponsors or successors. By submitting this document, the participant and parent/guardian hereby assume full responsibility and understand all the risks associated with participating in track & field including but not limited to: sprains, broken bones, pulled muscles, cuts, bruises, etc. The participant and parent/guardian are responsible for any and all damages, losses, or injuries that he/she may incur while attending or participating in the program; this includes travel to and from meets, practices, and any activities surrounding or associated with the East End Flyers Track & Field Club. I hereby expressly waive any and all claims or causes against the East End Track & Field Club, the City of Newport News and Christopher Newport University, including its members, agents and sponsors.

Parent(s)/Guardian(s) are responsible for informing the Head Coach in writing of any illness and/or condition that may prevent or hinder the athlete's participation in this program.
