2018-19 Flames Season Player Tryout Application

Recreation play is highly encouraged, particularly for 6th grade and younger, as the FRGSL program is the developer of future players and supports the Flames program through its volunteers and incorporation. Recreation play is required for 10U players.

Additional Parent/Guardian Contact Info

Consent for Medical Treatment:
As the parent or legal guardian of (player named above), a minor, I hereby give consent for emergency medical care, if required, as a result of injury or illness that may occur during this activity. This care may be given under whatever conditions are necessary to preserve the life, limb or well being of my dependent.

Waiver and Release of Liability:
As the parent or legal guardian of (player named above), a minor, I agree that in consideration of being allowed to participate in the Flemington-Raritan Girls Softball League’s travel program, Flemington Flames, I will waive any right legal or equitable, to claim damages for any loss to person or property occasioned by participation in such programs. Player Commitment:
As the parent or legal guardian of (player named above), a minor, I understand that this application is being completed as a requirement for a try-out for the Flemington Flames travel softball program. This does not constitute a guaranteed position on the team. If my dependent is accepted to play on the team, I accept my responsibility to ensure she attends all required practices, games and tournaments and understand that there will be a financial commitment required on my behalf. I acknowledge that accepting a position on the team where I knowingly cannot meet these requirements will prevent another eligible player from participating.

FALL: Flames teams may participate in a fall league (generally Sept-Oct), scrimmages &/or tournaments but these schedules will be at the discretion of the head coach.
WINTER: All 10U, 12U & 14U teams will participate in winter hitting training as well as fielding training (generally Jan-Mar).
SPRING: Teams may participate in some one day friendly tournaments and scrimmages in April & May to prepare for main season including our own "Spring Fling" tournaments but these dates shall not conflict with recreation season or school team schedule.
SUMMER: Flames teams participate in MidState league games and tournaments during the months of June & July. Every reasonable effort should be made to adjust your vacation schedules accordingly as this is the main season for travel softball.
