2024 Coaching Application

Thank You for Applying for a Coaching Position with Mount Olive Volleyball! We will be following COVID-19 Guidelines as directed by the CDC/MO Health Department and the school.
We promote sportsmanship, leadership, fair play and exercise as our primary goals for our youth players. Coaching is a serious commitment to the league, team, and each player to enhance the joy and skills of playing this growing sport.

Please fill out the form and review the Coaching Info section of the website to become more familiar with the responsibilities of a youth coach.

Head Coaches must be 18 years of age or older. Assistant coaches must be in High School or older.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an application for a coaching position and is subject to approval by the MOVBA Board of Directors. References will be checked for all new coaches. Coaches will be notified of the status of your application some time in February.

PLEASE NOTE: The Township of Mount Olive now requires fingerprint background checks for all youth sports coaches. Further information will be provided by the Coaching Coordinator.

Select Divisions that you would like to coach
Youth assistant coaches do not need to complete any coaching or concussion certification.

All first year coaches will be mentored by a coach with 2 or more years of experience in the Mt. Olive Volleyball League. Additionally, all first year coaches 18+ are required to obtain an NYSCA Initial Coaching Certification in Volleyball. This will be arranged for you by MOVBA and MUST be completed prior to the first practice. Please do not complete this online training until you receive an email with instructions from MOVBA.

Returning coaches will have NYSCA Membership renewed for them by MOVBA unless they have completed a Rutgers Youth Sports S.A.F.E.T.Y. Certification class.

All coaches 18+ will also be required to complete a VRO fingerprint background check and an online CDC Concussion Training course. These must also be completed before the first practice.




If you previously completed the online CDC Concussion Training, please indicate the date of training below. In addition, please forward a copy of the certificate issued at the end of the training session to email.movba@gmail.com
New coaches over 18: Please provide 3 References that can verify your prior coaching experience. If no prior coaching experience, please provide 2 professional and a personal reference.
