| Bern,is there any chances of a price break at the gates for the rest of this racing season.U have alot of people that travels a long ways,as drivers or fans that put alot of $'s your way this summer.So with the gas going so high just wondering if you would like to return a favour.Thanks.

| I agree!!!I believe that with the stands becoming so full lately that Bern probably makes enough money to lower the prices, and what's with the drivers having to pay cover. Their the ones that bring Bern the business, so why should they have to pay? They already have to pay for the gas, there and back and they have to pay for the gas to get around that track. Not to mention the cost of owning a race car that they usually have to put money into weekly, especially the V8'S

| You must be cracked in the head if you thing the Bern Hickey would give up one cent of all the money he makes on Sundays. He's laughting all the way to the bank - and we're paying for his gas too! However, all the driver's and all the fan's will still be there every Sunday - cause we're all addicted to the racing byes and that's the bottom line.

| Let's be fair now, does anyone remember the first of the season and the rainy days when not a lot of people were in the Stands?
Guess what, the full purse has always been paid out to us drivers. Also, its the only place i know where every car gets paid just for showing up. V8's get $20 and that more than covers my Gas.

| $20 dollars covers your gas...and u say that you are a driver. what kind of car are u running in the races. I am a friend of 17 and i know that it takes more then 20 dollars...he has to fill up his car for racing and he has to get it there, and back and he lives in longpond. I think that it tales a bit more then 20 dollars.

| I kinda feel bad about all the b*tching that we have all been doing about gas and money when there is thousands of people in the USA that are not worried about gas and money they are worried about where they are going to sleep tonight and where some of their family members are, becuase they were lost in the hurricane katrina. I think that we all should give up this bickering, and try to lead a helping hand.

| Look You cheapies, I've been there every Sunday RAIN OR SHINE. I don't expect a break cause the stands are finally getting full. You people are disgusting. Do the threaters give you a break cause the movie was a hit no. Do you get a break because you go to the camp grounds so often, NO. Then why should the track do it now. Give it a break. The same complainers all the time. The track is trying to add more blechers for the handicapped. These are repairs that need to be done. I see them why can't you. This is sickening. I come out from St. John's every weekend to see my favorites in all divisions and cheer them on. So are the people on here really fans or just shit disturbers

| Bern Does Alot For that track and several others... i think that the track prices are fine the way they are! the pit crew and the drivers have to pay also we dont get in free!!! the drivers have to get paid as well as the rest of the people working there!

| I take offense to that considering that our country is now on it's way to inflation. We are all just trying to find away that life can be a little less expensive, and if this is what it takes then so be it. I wouldn't care if Bern keeps his high prices and maybe put it back into to some relief to the hurricane victims.

I've noticed on other topics on this message board, replies that seen to "irk" Bern, magically disappear!!! So much for freedom of the press.

| I think Bern should put the prices up,that old Dodge van he's driving around can't be cheap on gas.If he put the prices up 5 or 6 dollars a head he might be able to get something a little better on gas and a little more comfortable,Berns no spring chicken anymore.

| This summer I attended a race at Scotia Speedworld near the Halifax Airport and I paid $15 to get in the pits at Avondale I only pay $10.

| I would say with the way you just responded to the other comment and the language you use that there is little chance that you hold a regular job or that anyone would want to be associated with you. You deserve pity if you have any kids and this is the way you talk in front of them. I was only stating that no other place you go gives you a break. Why pick on Avondale? Are you a driver or a fan. I will not go mud slinging with you as I will not lower myself to you. You say I hide behind a computer screen but YOUR NAME IS NOT THERE EITHER. Anyway hope not to see you at the races.

| i can say the same for you...i do hold a regular job...i have many friends...all i was stating was that we should help some of the people in the states....but i should stay home and send my money away.i thought as a newfoundlander that you might understand common curtesy?? Maybe we should pity you, because of your selfishness. your just sooky, becuase you were told. so excuse me for giving a damn about the people dieing in the states, sorry if you can't find some goodness in your heart. i pray that some day may find the goodness that most newfoundlanders have. let me tell you from experience....IT FEELS GOOD TO CARE. no one backed you up about not helping...but they did agree with me. I now apoligze for taking up space and the GOOD people of Newfoundland's time, but not to you.
