Hello again kids,

I was forwarded this interview by the DSHL prez. It is an interview with Daniel Cleary and he thinks like a lot of other good Newfoundland boys. here she is:

"There have been many real good hockey players from Newfoundland over the years," Cleary said. "John Slaney is one of the best Newfoundlanders to ever play the game. He hasn't really got the break that you need (to stay in the NHL). He's older now but he's been dominant in the American Hockey League and is one of the best junior hockey defensemen to ever come out of the Ontario Hockey League.

"Harold Druken had a tough go in Vancouver but he will find his way because he has great skills. Darren Langdon is having a great career. He is a great teammate and that's one of the reasons why he is still playing in the league. Darren keeps everyone loose. He is a tough guy, plays good defensively and will pick up for his teammates. And Alex Faulkner was the original.

"I personally think the best Newfoundlander to ever play hockey is Andy Sullivan, who played with the (AHL) St. John's Maple Leafs. Some people might say that it's me or John Slaney or Alex Faulkner, but I'm in Andy Sullivan's corner. Years ago Newfoundlanders didn't go away, but if Andy had the chance he could have been really something."

Well done Calvert,

See you at the Gatch House

Yeah Dermie, I have to agree with you that Andy is one of the greatest from this province.
I've been checking the forum for the DSHL AND THEY ARE A BIG BUNCH OF SISSIES. Crying about refs, stats, players, etc. Then they have this stupid idea that they are on a level playing field with the CEL. It's obvious thet the DSHL doesn't have the organizational skills of our president . Keep up the good work and if the DSHL can give up whining for a night, maybe we ca take them to Frogmarsh and give them a good ol'up the shore licking. That will put them in their place. That's all for now.
p.s Dermot, please pass on this message to THE CRY BABY LEAGUE.
