| I'm no Joe K. (the original) but here is the recap.
Game 1: White 27- Black 25 White started off on fire scoring on the first two plays of the game. The first was a safety by Sinan on Tarik, followed up by a 55 yard bomb from me to Ernest Yeldo. It was back and forth after that with Tarik picking apart a soft White defense both on the ground and through the air. But the big plays for White ended up being the difference, with four TD's of 45+ yards. Black's coach, Mike Zeer, was a no-show due to personal reasons (he was watching football, then he started drinking). To make it worse, he tried to reschedule the game earlier in the day, saying he didn't have enough to play. He claimed that Karl was 50-50, yet Karl claimed he was planning on coming no matter what. Danny Shaba was noticably furious with his coach, having himself skipped a wedding to be there. Not a good way to start the season.
Game 2: Red 30-something vs. Orange 6 This primetime matchup had alot of hype surrounding it due to some massive smack talking leading up to Sunday night. Unfortunately, it wasn't much of a contest with Red dominating every facet of the game. Amer (the lone bright spot for Orange) claimed he would be very suprised if Red scored more than one touchdown, so he must have been shocked when Red had a 18-0 lead less than 12 minutes into the game. Orange's lone TD came on a long strike from Kejbou to Leith Sawa. Red scored every way possible, with first time QB Nate Karrumi running and passing up and down the field. But Red's defense is the real story. Lightning fast with a great scheme. They will give offenses fits all season long.
Game 3: Green 20 Orange 12 Green got out to an early 13-0 lead with strong defensive play, an amazing catch by Chris Denha on a tipped ball, and a crucial sack on 4th down that gave Green the ball at Orange's 1 yard line. Green QB Bob Griese... er Semaan looked strong and had a higher QB rating than both Orange QB's put together. Orange made a QB change (from Kejbou to Amer) right before halftime. I went home at that point so if someone could fill it in from there, that would be helpful.

| First of all Joey I talked to all my players after the game and took care of the situation. Secondly, I dont need you or any other mother fucker on this site try and make me look stupid for something that wasn't that big of a deal. Ive played in the CFL for 13 years now and NEVER MISSED A GAME i dont need you questioning my accountabilty for one game that I missed.
I respected you when you called me on the phone and asked me what happened and I explained to you why I couldn't make it...I told you i was not in condition to play and I have 8 guys that are showing....True I should of been there and i was not happy with the loss but i took care of the situation with my players and I did appoligize to them individually.
So the next time you want to post something on the site personally, say it to me in person when you see me, then we can handle the situation!!

Joey had every right to give you shit about not showing up. He didn't say anything about you personally. We all drink and eat tacos from time to time. I'm not going to speak for Joey but you almost gave the guy heart attack. We all look so forward to playing and you were trying to cancel the game.
It’s your team do what you want with it. You are the one that has to deal with being 0-1. 0-1 is no big deal. Remember you were not only making a decision for your team but for his too if you would have canceled the game.
I’m sure the next time we decide who should or shouldn’t coach this will be brought up. This time it wasn’t a big deal but if things like that happen more than once… it’s bad for the league.
We all so forward to play and that’s what we should make sure happens each and every week.
Let’s put this behind us and play ball

| Kejbou keep sucking dick your very good at it.
AT I was not going to cancel the game. After Danny called me and told me he was going to make it I knew we had 8 guys and if he was not going to show I was gonna show up and play no matter what I had my stuff with me and had every intention of playing.
Like you said its my team and I am the one who will deal with being 0 and 1...but what i dont need is someone making stupid remarks like that trying to make me look stupid. understand.
He called me after the game and expressed his concern and I told him that I dont do shit like that and it wouldnt happen again!! He should of left it at that and not posted it on the site and twist shit.....thats all!

| Coach Zeer,
forget about the whole situation, we really could have used you but that is the choice you made and you are our coach. 0-1 is not a big deal. we just have to overcome an emotional loss (to me atleast) and play our asses off for the remainder of the season. I honestly believe we have the best team in the league and now we have to prove it.
who do u play sunday?

You were eating tacos with Brian. It's not a big deal. I would have been there too but I had a game to coach and play. Don’t you think I wanted to be right there with stinking up the room watching football?
Diddy
He would answer you… but he’s at Brian’s again. Today is burrito day. I’ll answer for him since I had to be the one to call his team last week and make sure everyone was going to be there. You are playing us (red). I agree Diddy you guys do have the best team out there by far.
If I don’t see you Sunday that means I chose to take part in the annual Patcha dinner at Sahara. It’s to raise money and awareness for coaches that don’t understand their team needs them.
It’s a very good cause. For more information contact Mike Zeer

| Mike,
I cannot believe what i'm reading. I called you after the game to make sure you were okay and something didn't happen. It doesn't mean that what you did didn't make me sick. And I am twisting shit?!? If you sat me, Anthony, Karl, and Danny down right now and asked us what you told us throughout the day, it would be four different stories. I got more and more annoyed with the situation as more stories came out. Did you or did you not try to cancel/ reschedule the game? Did you or did you not tell me that Chuck was 50-50 when he really had every intention of playing? So what did I twist? After thinking about it, it became clear that it wasn't a situation of you started drinking unexpectedly and it got a little out of hand, but more like you knew early in the day that you just didn't want to play. And that bothered the hell out of me. I'm glad you apologized to your team because you owed them that. I didn't post to make you look stupid (you looked plenty stupid before I posted). I posted because the more I heard, the more it seemed like you didn't care. I never said anything about you personally. But if it makes it easier for you to deal with the situation by blowing what I said (which is what really happened) out of proportion and taking it personally, then by all means do it. That is very common for someone who just screwed up. I wasn't hiding anything in the game recap. You not showing up was in the recap cause honestly, it was the story of the game. I told you that I thought what you did was wrong on Sunday when I called you, and my position hasn't changed. So don't act like I didn't say you were wrong to your face. At no point though was it personal. And respect... well, i'll just leave that one alone.

| I aint paying bitches. Have the refs take you out to dinner so you can discuss the rules.
There is one other rule you need to discuss with the officials. They said the clock does not stop AT ANY POINT, not even the last two minutes of the half/game.

| It does in our league but not in francis' thanks for the heads up.
I talked to the refs and they want to take us to Rally's. Is that comparable to the Big Rock we were promised?
Do any of you Eastsiders know the answer to that?

| Week 1 Recap continued:
Zeer's nuts started the game on Brian's couch. Around 8 minutes into the game, his nuts got off the couch to get another Goose. With 9:20 remaining in the first half, his nuts made it back to the couch (with taco and Goose in hand). Approximately 14 minutes into the second half, his nuts made their way to Brian's living room for a little high-stakes poker. At the two minute warning, Mike's nuts were temporarily stimulated as he declared himself all in, was called, and won with a high straight. As TEAM White took a knee to close out the game, Mike's nuts proceeded back to the couch to watch the 4th quarter. His nuts were miserable at this point due to their close proximity to his ass, which was farting quite a bit after 5 tacos.
Sorry Mike, I just couldn't resist.
