| The CEL season has come to an end with the Royal Family squeeking out a win against Ronnies Rebels. The royal ones got a big jump early and the rebels had a hard time catching up. The rebels made it close in the 3rd but to no avail. Both goalies put on stellar perfomances as they saw more rubber than the Indy 500. Blair was especially busy as he had to fight off his own defence as well . His sibling just wanted to prove that he could score on him. Too bad they were on the same side.
The game was played hard by both sides with good sportsmanship as Calvert crowd have always shown.
The most penalized player in the league made a couple of "trips" to the sin bin and Kevin K had to go to the showers early as the tension was getting the best of him. A couple of beer calmed the nerves as the boys brought home the chamoinship.
The championship team was well rounded led by veterans Vince, Adrian, Kevin, John, and sean and young guns Bobby and Christopher. Swainer was the ace in the hole as he bailed the boys out all season when called upon.
The boys looked really happy when they posed for the team pic. Some were even e-mailing their friends via cell phone.
Overall the boys put on a good show for the fans. The game could have went either way. For instance, if Rosco had scored in the other net, they could have won 5-4 instead of losing 5-4.
Sorry Rosco.
Anyway congratulations Royal Touch.
