I am writing on behalf of Motocross Newfoundland & Labrador. For those 'fans' of motorsports who have been to Avondale in the last month or so you'll notice a newly constructed motocross track in the infield...thanks to Bernie and his crew, Chris O'Neill and Neil Hiscock. People familiar with motocross are aware that our sport is growing here in NL as it is accross North America. To date we have over 150 registered riders, with increasing numbers every week (especially riders from off the Avalon ).I agree with one fan who comments....'what a great facility to run stock car and motocross together'....this same fan is most likely familiar with world class facilities such as Daytona...people, all accross North America these two sports go hand in hand. The popularity of motocross will bring more fans, consequently increasing the interest in stock car racing. Once we work out the small logistics of racing in Avondale, there's no reason the day will go longer and you get to watch racing all day! If you only come for stock car racing, go get a drink during the moto intermission. Hopefully with time we'll see the large number of riders at Avondale, the racing will be competitive and exciting. Until then, be patient, we are new to this facility.

Hats off to Bernie and the crew at Avondale!! The track is coming along.

Mark.

Wow are you for real?

First of all Daytona has one supercross event a year during bike week thats it and it is also a whole different caliber of an event. Using Avondale's infield for an event is not quite the samething as using Daytona's infield! LOL Let alone comparing the facilities in the same sentence or even same book.

Come on now!

Since, you seem to know all about other World Class Stock car facilities which other ones runs motocross with the stock car racing?
