You guys are lucky; at least you got to see races this weekend. Brockville rained out Saturday, Cornwall's 100-lapper rained out yesterday and the rain date was today, and you guessed it! Rained out again. Planckinator finished 10th last night in Cayuga County Fair Speedway's 100-lap Big Block Modified event.

It's not that bad usually. Last season, Brockville only rained out a couple of times. About 6 years ago, Cornwall never rained out all season! This has been a really weird summer, weather-wise. It actually could have been worse. 2 or 3 times at Brockville, we somehow managed to get the races in, even though virtually every track within a 200- mile radius rained out, including Can-Am speedway, which is only about 30 miles from Brockville. Some tracks down state(New York) rained out 6 or 7 times!

I'm not sure. The only paved track in the area is Capital City Speedway in Ottawa, and I havn't been there in over three years. Brockville and Cornwall average over 1000 fans weekly, with that number being larger for the big races. Capital City almost ceased to exist until it was bought this spring. I don't have an exact number, but I hear they get pretty good crowds now. Neither Can-Am speedway in Lafargeville, NY or Frogtown speedway in Hogansburg, NY get very many fans. Can-Am's not too bad, but I hear Frogtown only gets about 200-300 fans weekly.

From what I've heard and read on the internet, they've had a pretty good season.
