| Born into poverty in Noth Carolina, became a detroit cabbie and Nascar Champion in 1973. Voted one of Nascar top 50 drivers, won the Daytona 500 in 1975. In 1982 was the first driver to qualify at 200.76 mph. Spent 6 years at NBC and TNT. Quit smoking in 1978 but diagonsed with lung cancer in July. RIP.

| Very well said. B.P. was a credit to racing, as a driver as well as a broadcaster. He will be greatly missed.

| Bobby Hamilton Sr. passed away on Jan. 7 at age 49 after battling head and neck cancer.

| Yeah, I know some things racing! I'm not an expert by any means, but I follow NASCAR and DIRT, which includes the Modifieds, WOO Late Models and the WOO Sprints. I also enjoy hockey and wrestling! Alot of sports, in fact!

| no they know how top race up there, They really do they drive cars up there with wire cages on where the windows us to be . Ive seen video's of the stack car racin up there and it is just as the same as it would be up at avondale only thing is that there r not rocks at there track unlike the avondale track where you got bolders commin at you "lol"
