I guess I'd rather be compared to Don Cherry than Howie Meeker, cause I also like to speak my mind! As for Howie, is that guy still alive?

Actually, I was just looking at their bios. Cherry is 73, Meeker is 82! I'm not that old, I just feel like it sometimes!

Same with the Leafs! 3 big games. 'Canes tonight, Atl thursday, Pens Saturday. Also tough games! Either team will be hard pressed to make it! Both teams need to win most if not all their games, but still might need help!

much rather face the 3 teams the leafs are playing than the habs are playing.canes thrashers not playing that great pens battling for division crown.habs facing the hottest team since allstar break the rangers. sabers top team in league sens playing well battling for home ice first round.not an enviable task.both teams are in tough.see report dipietro out indefinite.leafs habs last game of year might tell who makes it .both are in tough.canes have easier schedule.

We can talk back and forth about who has the easier schedule until the cows come home! You know as well as I do, in the NHL, as in any sport, anybody can beat anybody on any given night! That's why they play the games! The Habs could win every remaining game, or they could lose them all! Same goes for everybody else!

Just remember the most important thing of all! Regardless of who make the playoffs and who doesn't, every one of these players make more money in one season than all of us combined will ever make!

leafs habs still alive.not all the players are making millions.some are playing for league minimum.probaly couple hundred thousand year.pretty good salary all the same guys on 2 way contracts make less than that in ahl.remember few years back talking some player from cape breton oilers who just won the calder cup the previous year.they get cut of gate for winning the calder cup said it was only couple thousand dollars for 2 months playoff hockey.some said they would of rather be home with their families.but league champ looks good on resume for next contract talks.

Only a couple hundred grand a year? A couple thousand for 2 months work, plus what they make during the season? I guess when I referred to the money the players make, I should've said that most of the players make that much, not all! As for those guys that only make maybe 100-200 grand a year, well, I don't know how those poor souls survive! Tell the guy you were talking to that I would gladly take his spot and make a couple of thousand for about two months of playing pro hockey, and potentialy winning a championship!

If that's the case, then I could see him being out of position and caught behind the play alot! That would wear you down after a while, too! It's bad enough having that done by the other team!

i was just joking about running his self into the boards. he actually scored 50 goals in the ahl had a cup of coffee with the oilers.then went to europe to play.isaid he was selling insurance because it is so darn expensive.cant see how u cant make any money from selling car insuranc if on commission.

I won't cry in my beer no matter what happens! First of all, I don't drink! Second, no matter what happens in the next decade and a half or so, the Habs will still have more cups than anybody! Besides, it's not healthy to take it THAT serious! Don't get me wrong, I cheer for my team and all, but as for people "crying in their beer", that's just ridiculous! When the game's over, no matter what the outcome, get on with life! It's only a game! Hockey, or any sport for that matter, is NOT life! Anybody who thinks it is is in desperate need of a life!

There's alot of fans like that, fans of every team! Personally, I'm not that way, simply because things can turn around so quick! I feel it is just best to celebrate if your team wins a game or championship, as long as you don't rub it in the other team or fan's faces! I don't know about where you're from, but up here just about every Habs fan I know has the same attitude as me! Like I said, there's idiot fans for every team! Do you ever notice the fans in the stands in places like Montreal, Toronto, etc? There's always alot of good natured razzing going on, but you very rarely see any scraps in the stands! I've heard that places like Philly are a totally different story, you literally risk you're life by cheering for the visiting in some of those cities! As far as not hearing anything from Habs fans when things aren't going well, what are we supposed to do, go around celebrating and bragging about a slump? I don't think any fans would do that, though you never know about Leafs fans! Actually, Leaf fans are just extremely delousional! They think every time they score a goal, or win even when it's against a last place team they act like they've already won the cup! But then again, when you haven't won a cup in 200 years I suppose you would get exited over every, and I mean every, little bit of good fortune!

Yeah, you don't see too many basketball teams that are entirely white, even in Canada, except for maybe in high schools in small towns! I have absolutely nothing against African American/Canadians, but it just never happens! The Steve Nashes of the world are few and far between!
