| Just letting everyone know! Watch the language at the games. I, as a referee, know that we will become more strict. Please, tell your teams.

| In regards to foul language. It is one thing to say something directed for yourself in response to your play, and then there are those who can be verbally abusive toward other individuals. Is this something they are going to take into consideration when the attempt is made to crack down on foul language?
This is a habitat of mine as well as others. We can be hard on oursleves during the game and may sometime express it verbally, not directed toward any other party.
What is the league's stand on this? You know what they say,"It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks."

| Such a thing was discussed in the last SCMAF class I attended. There is a big difference between cursing under one's breath at yourself, or over a botched play (I do this as a player), and cursing at the official. As an official (not in this league), I won't take anyone cursing at me, but I'm not offended by, nor am I going to throw someone out for general use. I would warn a team, however, if they are cussing across the field to one another, yelling. The fans and kids watching shouldn't have to hear it. This is a family environment.

| cussing at any opponent or referee is an automatic red card, everyone should know that. The cussing out load towards your self or just saying it out of frustration is what we are going to try to control. The point is that it is a family environment and verbal warnings are the first step into controling this. In a different league, that i referee in, i have been known to give yellow cards for cussing at yourselves or out of frustration. Sometimes I do feel this doing this, but I don't want to be the only ref doing it. Plus, for the guys, a yellow card means the team is down a player.
For anybody that is at the fields all day, you will reconize cussing is a constant in most of the games.
The procedure is a verbal warning first, then yellow card if can not be controlled.

| Alright now that I got a couple point of views on this, what defines a 'cuss' word? For example: a common term I use is 'damn it'. In my opinion, this would not be consider foul language, but some people would consider it foul. In your case, Badboy4, as a ref, would you consider this abusive?
I would have to say that Jen's has a good understanding of what I am talking about. As far as disciplining a guy for cursing under his breath, I would think it wouldn't be necessary.

| saying anything under your breathe is fine but when it is load enough where at least a couple people can hear it, that is when the refs would at least say something to you. saying damn it is not is cuss word, just make sure you don't yell it out and you don't have to worry !
