| It seems like everyone's got something to say about something these days, and the ol' Avondale message board is no different! When I see everybody talkin' like this, it kinda gets my attention, especially when I see a certain name mentioned! You know the name, it's the name that end with a 1! All this chatter cannot go on without moi! So, like back bacon, maple syrup and even the maple leaf itself, I too am A TRUE CANADIAN ORIGINAL! Who is that guy with a 1 at the end of his name, anyway? lol!

| Are you saying I'm a legend in my own mind? Hey, at least somebody thinks I am! Just kidding! There have been some poor misguided souls who have referred to me as a "legend", but I never have! To be honest, I really don't care what people think! I just like to joke around and have fun, and it doesn't really matter what people call me!

| That's what we used to say when we played ball hockey(pick-up, not the league! The league was barbaric at times!) I actually came close to losing an eye once! Someone took a slap shot and the follow-through got me right between the eye and eyebrow! Half an inch lower and who knows? Eye was swollen almost shut for a couple days! I've also sprained both ankles, been cut for god knows how many stitches and Ive had my arm pop out of the socket! But it was some fun times!

| played ball hockey for fun.some of friends i grew up with played in the nationals many times.the last time it was played in st johns the montreal red light team was pretty strong.one of my friends and his nephew lost in the final to a team from ontario a couple years back.his nephew was out to a team canada try out a couple summers back.another friend of mine his sister is married to an assitant coach with the national team also.these guys are getting up tere now in there mid 40s to old to play at that high a competion now.

| I never got to play in the Nationals, because our league wasn't sanctioned by the Canadian ball hockey assotiation(I think I spelled that wrong), only the provincial! I got to play in the provincials once in the mid-nineties, and let me tell you, there are some incredible teams and players once you get to that level!

| some of these guys were playing ball hockey since they were the age of 5 at the st johns boys club.one of the guys i grew up with set a record for most goals in a year 396.the year ran from sept. to june.thats alot of goals.

| Gee, and I thought I did something when I had back-to-back 20-goal seasons! Our seasons were in the late spring into the summer, May to July!
