| What is there to reply to? The Habs spent enough on free agents and to resign Ryder and Plekanec! If that was you who posted that, Reider, you should worry about your own team not spending! The Habs may not have picked up the really huge superstars, but they picked up 2 or 3 solid players! I'm not gonna be like the Leafs fans and say these signings are gonna automatically win them the cup, as alot of other teams(the Leafs included) also signed good players!

| I was only kidding about Leafs fans! They're not as bad as some Ottawa fans! Actually, the Leafs will be improved with Toskala and Blake!

| brier and drury are not worth that kind of money.the sabers signed all the rest of there rfa's.they had to pay big for vanek.to much if you ask me for a player with only a couple years experience but a 42 goal scorer.will see how he is going to do he will be seeing an awful lot more of the checkers and the shut down d men this year.the leafs added some players including a goalie may cause a bit of controversy there.they should improve on last years finish in the standings.

| Yeah, you never know, maybe the Sabres will do better if they don't finish quite as high in the standings. They did seem to buckle a bit under such high expectations! This may give some other young players like Stafford and such a chance to shine! The Habs will miss Sourey's offence, but I had mentioned before that he is an adventure in his own end sometimes! Hamrlik won't put up as big numbers as Sourey, but he will provide some offence from the blueline, and is much better defensively, as evidenced by a much better +/- rating! Philly will be improved, as will the Blues. If Neidermeyer returns, the Ducks may be even better than the team that just won the cup!
