| A few things need to be set straight… Talking trash on the field is fine as long as you don’t get carried away. Last week things got a little out of hand and frankly it was embarrassing. None of us are perfect including the Referees, but they have been with us for a very long time and do a great job. They put up with a lot of shit, they show up on time, they let us play, they adjust to our rules, and they go above and beyond to insure CFL quality football. From here on out only the Coach, the Defensive Captain or Offensive Captain may dispute calls (the refs will ask each coach to designate the captains before the game). The refs will be instructed to blow the whistle and issue unsportsmanlike penalties on any player that argues a call. You can bitch and moan all you want, but anything directed at or about the Referees will not be tolerated.

Two unsportsmanlike penalties and you get thrown out of the game and are automatically suspended for the next game
A lot more can be said about what happened last week. I will spare everyone the lecture and just say let’s clean up our acts. This post is not directed towards any single player, it goes for everyone from rookies to 23 year veterans.
So far it’s been a great year let’s keep it that way!
